Disaster Relief

Our Rose Drive Friends Church family cares for those who are suffering locally, nationally, and around the world. When disasters strike, we are heartened by the number of people who ask us how they can help. On this page you will find our recommendations for how you might play a part in rebuilding lives impacted by disaster.

LA Fires

Updated January 16th, 2025

Since January 7th, several large fires have decimated homes in the greater Los Angeles region. These neighborhoods will need assistance for months and years to come. Thank you for asking about ways you can help! If you feel the Lord’s prompting to give toward these relief efforts, please consider donating to Convoy of Hope.

Our denomination, Friends Southwest, has partnered with Convoy of Hope for years. Convoy of Hope is already on the ground in LA fully equipped and serving as the hands and feet of Jesus. To date, they have served over 100,000 pounds of relief supplies and served more than 5,400 people, with much more work ahead. Every day they are reporting of more truckloads of supplies arriving to meet the immediate needs our neighbors are facing, all in the name of Jesus.

Between now and February 22nd, all funds given to Friends Southwest Disaster Relief will go toward Convoy of Hope. Please click on the image below, head to “Give Online Now” and select “Disaster Relief”.
