Our Sanctuary Choir has been leading worship in our  morning worship services for over 45 years. The musical ability of the members is as varied as you can imagine, from post-graduate degreed musicians to those who are self-proclaimed “followers.” The Sanctuary Choir meets on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary to rehearse, fellowship and pray.  

Our Church Orchestra rehearses each Wednesday and plays approximately every other Sunday. Many of our current players have taken up their instruments after several years of inactivity and have found the orchestra a great way to revive their enjoyment of playing that they thought was gone after they left school.

It came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: "For He is good, for His mercy endures forever," that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests cound not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

Our Praise Band has been leading worship in the main Sanctuary at RDFC since 1992. Our Worship Teams began later and lead worship for our Saturday Night Service and Video Venue service in the Ministry Center. They rehearse at various times throughout the week. These groups are by appointment and audition only. These groups feature vocals, rhythm section, and assorted instruments.

Audtions

We are currently auditioning electric bass and drummers for our Praise Band. If you have a desire to participate in this ministry please contact Mark Miller for an audtion time.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to play in a wide range of styles, have a committed relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to play for His glory and honor. Applicants must also be available for mid-week rehearsals and available to play at least 2 times a month in our worship services.

Each year the Sanctuary Choir, Orchestra and Drama Ministries present seasonal productions which not only provide a wonderful opportunity for us to feature many of the musicians at RDFC but also are an excellent outreach ministry for our church as many first-time visitors attend.

Each December we continue the tradition of Candlelight services on Christmas Eve. These services feature the Sanctuary Choir and our pastor in a singing sermon. This is a highlight of the year for many people; a service of music and inspiration. Bring the whole family! Childcare is provided for children Nursery through PreK at all Candlelight services.

If it has a button, knob, dial or fader, it's probably a part of of our Technical Ministry which oversees audio, lighting, staging and visual needs of our church. We are a ministry using our talents in the technical arts to God's glory building relationships through our "Tech Teams" and exemplifying servant hearts as we use tools to reach the lost.

To be a part of the Tech Team here at RDFC you do no have to be an experienced tech. We will provide training for each team member. All you needs is a servants heart, a passion for His church and the desire to do things with excellence.
