Why the picture:
This picture was taken on our 25th anniversary and reminds me that I've been incredibly blessed with a wife whose outer beauty almost equals the beauty of her godly character
Family: My wife Rosalie and I met at RDFC (actually, Pastor Jim set us up!) and we married here in 1985. We have three great kids, Josh, Justin and Marissa, a dog, two cats and a fish!
My Story: I was not raised in church but received Christ as Savior and Lord at the age of 16. A high school teacher discipled me for a couple of years and I then got involved in the RDFC college group and continued to learn and grow. I had my first mission experience while traveling for a summer with an Athletes in Action baseball team as an 18 year old. Upon graduating from college I joined the RDFC staff as College/Recreation pastor while studying in seminary. Rose Drive sent Rosalie and me to Central America for 5 years to serve as church planting missionaries. After that we started and pastored a church in Corona for 13 years, I taught high school Spanish for 4 years, and now God has brought all these diverse experiences together in my dream job: Principal (in training) of Friends Christian Middle School!
Academic Background: BA in Speech Communication, University of California Santa Barbara MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena Spanish certification, Spanish Language Institute, San Jose, Costa Rica Single Subject Teaching Credential, Cal State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) MA and Credential, Educational Administration, CSUSB
RDFC staff experience: Gym attendant, church printer, night "lock up guy," 1983-1984 College and Recreation pastor, 1985-1988 Church planting missionary (sent by RDFC), 1988-1993 FCMS Assistant Principal (and Spanish teacher), 2010
